Bladder prolapse

You have a weight that presses on your lower abdomen. You even say: “all is coming out”. You feel a bulge in your vagina. It happens that you have urine leaks, urges to go to the bathroom, and/or difficulty in urinating. It not painful but very uncomfortable, and relatively annoying n daily life.
You probably have a bladder prolapse

It is common language to say a multiple organ prolapse because the rectum and the uterus could be prolapsing as well.

2 stages can be observed

1) The bladder goes down just a little bit, it is simply due to weakening of the perineal muscles.

2) The bladder goes down within the vagina, it can even go out through the vulva: it is due to severe weakening of the perineal muscles.

Resolutions
Physiotherapy

Only in early stages, can tonify the perineal muscles. It is necessary to treat constipation if it occurs. Always remember to empty your bladder if you are going to do sports.

Surgery:

When the prolapse is significant, it is possible to put the bladder back in place, through the natural track (vagina) or though an incision or through coeliscopy (mini incision of the abdomen in order to introduce instruments and the camera) Often, to reinforce the weak muscles and ligaments, synthetic meshes are used, in order to support the bladder.
